Hungary is a beautiful country, the corporate income tax rate is 9%, the personal income tax rate is 15%. Hungary is a Member state of the European Union and one of the safest countries in the world, where a special law exists on the protection of foreign investments. In short, Hungary is an ideal place for foreign investors. 

Since 2023, legal regulations govern residence permit for guest investors, the full set of rules for which will apply from 1 January 2025. This residence permit allows a 10-year stay in Hungary for specific investments for the guest investor and his family members, which can be extended for additional 10 years. The guest investor residence permit provides the longest term stay and the most rights for non-EU nationals in Hungary. The real estate investment made remains the property of the investor throughout the period of the residence permit and may be used and sold at the end of the period. However, this residence permit does not require the investor to actually reside in Hungary during its validity period, this is only an option. In short, this is the Hungarian Golden Visa Program. 

In our manual we describe in detail the rules, privileges, conditions for applying for and extending the residence permit for guest investors. We present the types of investments and the detailed conditions that are necessary to obtain a guest investor status. We also cover the rules for certifying the funds that are used as the source of the investment. We describe the conditions for issuing a guest investor visa and the procedure to be followed in the case of visa exemption. We provide a list of third countries whose nationals can enter the European Union visa-free. We also discuss the rules for residence permit issued for the purpose of family reunification in relation to the guest investor residence permit. We will explain the process of the official administration.
